The All-Ukrainian Children’s Folklore Festival ‘Oreli’

The All-Ukrainian Children’s Folklore Festival ‘Oreli’ was founded in 2008 to preserve children’s unique traditional folk culture as an essential element of Ukraine’s  intangible cultural heritage. It’s aim is to enrich modern understandings of child development with the best achievements in Ukrainian ethnopedagogy.

In partnership with tradition bearers, parents, and teachers and in cooperation with educational centres, preschools, museum institutions, and centres of creativity, we introduce elements of traditional culture into the modern cultural space. We incorporate it into educational systems by engaging children, adolescents, and youth.

The festival takes place in the summer and on the eve of the Christmas holidays.
